Some Guests are Shocked with the reviews they get at Airbnb and other Lodging Services.
What guests don’t realize is that some guest houses are managed by huge companies that don’t care how badly the guests behave or about how big the mess they leave behind.
They have stayed at two or three guest houses, left a mess that would upset most hosts, yet still got a great review. The company that manages that particular guest house doesn’t care about the mess you left, nor perhaps how noisy you were, if they own the whole building. They don’t care about their cleaning staff either.
However, other guest houses are managed by a single owner or a family that does care about the cleaning staff they employ. Or they may do the cleaning themselves after guests check out. If they feel their cleaning staff are being abused because you don’t follow the house rules: (check in too early or check out too late, don’t wash your dishes, don’t recycle or separate the recycling appropriately), you will find you get a terrible review and may find it very difficult to get any future hosts to host you.
Be good guests! Not only for yourselves but for your country. You are representing your country. You are the face of China, Malaysia, France, Taiwan, Australia, mSingapore or others. Be a good example, follow the rules and give Japanese a good impression of your nation.
